Services for Independent Living
BMS is dedicated to helping individuals with developmental disabilities live independently and thrive within their communities. Our support services are carefully tailored to each person’s unique needs, with staff working closely alongside individuals and their support teams to ensure personalized assistance every step of the way.
Our team provides help with daily living tasks, such as coordinating medical appointments, arranging transportation, shopping, meal preparation, and budgeting. We also address specific needs identified by the individual and their support team, fostering a sense of autonomy and confidence.
Routine medical care and follow-up are prioritized to maintain health and well-being. We offer comprehensive human rights training to empower individuals and ensure their rights are respected in all settings. Medication monitoring and supervision are provided to promote safety and independence, while assistance with home care helps maintain a comfortable and healthy living environment.
Support is also available for activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), along with nutritional guidance and cooking skills to encourage healthy habits. Our staff helps individuals pursue opportunities for personal growth, whether through educational programs, community involvement, or skill-building activities. BMS approach centers on respect, choice, and empowerment, ensuring every person receives the support they need to achieve their goals.
Area of Coverage
We are currently providing services in the North Shore, Merrimack, and Metro North regions, with plans to expand statewide across Massachusetts within the next few years.
